Namazu flicks his tail.

Namazu writhes under the earth.
Black and scaled body
twisting, convulsing, roiling
below thick sea mud.
People are lost. People are
screaming, swept away,
mouths stuffed with mud,
turned in tumbles of earthly refuse, muck and water,
tossed
like so many toys in the waves.
Kashima, where are you with your capstone this time?
